Daniel Bryan made a big risk returning to the WWE ring early after undergoing neck surgery and now it seems that such may cost him the Intercontinental Championship.

It will be recalled that Bryan was forced to surrender the WWE World Heavyweight Championships he won in Wrestlemania 30 after it was revealed that he needed to undergo neck surgery in May of 2014. And while many had speculated that Bryan could be forced into retirement, the YES man surprisingly announced his return to the WWE ring.

A fan-favorite, many felt that Bryan returned a bit too early. More so, Bryan returned to his high-flying ways and now it seems that this move has become a cause of concern.

Bryan's bill of health is apparently not 100% and this was practically affirmed after the WWE star was pulled from the remainder of the UK tour reportedly as a precautionary measure.

Bryan had been reportedly set to face United States Champion John Cena on the upcoming episode of WWE RAW but because of questions arising regarding his health, the WWE placed Bad News Barrett in his place.

Bryan's neck surgery was a career-threatening one, something that forced him to watch at the sidelines for some time. The bearded wrestler had his issues after surgery, including losing feeling at his right arm.

The former WWE heavyweight champ did make a good account for himself but it was apparently that he was pushing himself to compete in the same fashion as he did before undergoing neck surgery.

It will be recalled that fans vouched for Bryan to be in the main event against Brock Lesnar instead of Roman Reigns. Instead, Bryan went up against Reigns at WWE Fastlane where he lost.

Instead, Bryan ended up competing for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania 32 in an extremely punishing ladder match which could have aggravated his dilapidating health.
