After the rumored dream match-up between John Cena and the Undertaker failed to materialize during this year's Wrestlemania 32, new speculations claim that The Prototype will finally challenge the legendary Streak at Wrestlemania 33 in 2017.

The supposed Wrestlemania 32 battle between the two iconic pro wrestlers was reportedly postponed due to Cena's shoulder injury. But the 39-year-old wrestler-actor suddenly appeared unannounced at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas to help the Rock defeat the Wyatt Family. Meanwhile, the Undertaken went on to face Shane McMahon during the Hell in a Cell that gave him a 23-win and 1-loss Wrestlemania record.

But despite the rumors that the Undertaker will no longer return to the ring after the Wrestlemania 32, the 51-year-old WWE legend's recent Twitter activity sparked rumors about his possible match against Cena next year.

If the rumors turn out to be true, Cena will face the Undertaker at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida in April 2, 2017.

But while there are no confirmations from the WWE or the wrestlers' camps about the dream match at the moment, Cena recently revealed that Roman Reigns is his dream opponent in the next fight.

"I know that I always kind of test myself, whether it's new superstars or established superstars, and I know Roman Reigns has carved up quite a niche for himself and he has all the attributes to be a successful WWE superstar for some time to come," Cena exclusively told Inquirer during his visit in Shanghai, China. "I've heard he's good. I'd like to find out how good he is."

The wrestler also stressed that he will always be a part of the professional wrestling company despite the increasing number of new talents.

"It's a wonderful time for the WWE fans, and at my core, I'm a WWE fan, that's why I continue to show up," he stated.
