According to the latest WWE rumors, Chris Jericho confronted Brock Lesnar backstage about the way the match between him and Randy Orton at WWE SummerSlam 2016 ended.

The pay-per-view event has come and gone, but the controversies and conversations are nowhere near done especially due to the way it all ended.

The main event between Lesnar and Orton was cut short after The Beast landed an elbow to The Viper's head, which then started to bleed, even worse as Lesnar continued to beat him up.

Wrestling Observer reported that Jericho "came to the gorilla position just as the match ended, apparently to see if Orton was okay and to find out what exactly happened."

Jericho then confronted Lesnar after he exited the ring and starting calling him out. The latter reportedly shut him up and a verbal altercation began. Soon enough, they began to brawl.

Triple H stepped in and stops them, but they continued to go at it, prompting WWE CEO Vince McMahon himself to break them up.

Jericho, who is known for championing the safety of his fellow superstars, did not like it at all to see Orton all bloodied up. However, Orton reportedly assured him that "he knew the way everything was coming."

It is unknown if Lesnar and Jericho came to an understanding about the issue, but the question remains whether or not this was staged or not.

Some believe that it was planned to intensify the rivalry while others believe it was something they never expected would happen. Either way, it appears the feud between the two did not end in the final moments of SummerSlam.

However, it does not look like fans will be seeing Lesnar on Monday Night Raw anytime soon. He is not scheduled to appear next week and it is believed it won't be until a couple of months before he appears on live TV again.
