Daniel Bryan may be the current WWE Smackdown Live general manager, but recent reports claimed that his wrestling and brawling days inside the squared circle are not officially over.

Rumor has it that he will wrestling again soon. The talks started when The Miz confronted Bryan for not wrestling anymore right after the latter branded him as coward. The promo resonated well with fans, making them realize how badly they need Bryan to wrestle again.

Anthony DiMoro of Forbes cited a source with "inside knowledge," who claimed that WWE is still open to the possibility of Bryan returning to the ring as a wrestler.

Bryan retired last year after an injury and the higher risk it posed on his health. The site pointed out that he was already allowed by doctors to get back into the ring while the WWE medical team has not given him the go signal yet.

DiMoro said that for now, WWE will continue to tease a potential return of Bryan by having superstars call him out for sidelining as a full-on fighter when he is able to fight and shying away from wrestling.

After all, it is a subject that WWE knows will certainly generate a lot of discussions and debates from fans. Based on their reaction in seeing Bryan return as the Smackdown GM, he is still a big draw.

However, this early, Bleacher Report wants fans to stop expecting Bryan to fight. The site pointed out that he left his passion for a reason, and a pretty big one at that.

That reason is head trauma and that his brain "isn't as OK as I thought it was" as he revealed during his farewell speech on Raw. Bryan has sustained numerous concussions that pose grave risk on his wellbeing.

He chose not to wrestle again so as to not make his condition worse and be there and be healthy for his family. Brie Bella might share the same sentiment since she was scared stiff learning what Bryan dealt with after the injury.

Bleacher Report says that if he gets back in the ring again, Bryan will simply put his health in serious danger, and he knows that very well.

That being said, Bryan will likely stay as a figure of authority in Smackdown and nothing more.
