WWE rumors, news 2016: Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar going head to head in Chicago; Bray Wyatt facing The Viper at Backlash

Randy Orton will redeem himself at WWE Backlash.WWE.com

Randy Orton suffered a beatdown at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam, but he will have to be patient before he gets to settle the score with The Beast.

Orton is first set to battle Bray Wyatt, who challenged him in a bout for WWE Backlash. It is believed that while the former has the reputation of defeating big names, this match will go The Viper's way.

Bleacher Report points out that while Wyatt has beaten the likes of Roman Reigns, current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose and 15-time world champion John Cena, this match will help Orton redeem himself.

There's no better way to do so with a man who has such fearsome and impressive reputation. Interestingly, this will be the first time since the two cross paths, making the match card a bit more intriguing.

Despite this, Wyatt is still expected to get a boost out of this Backlash match as well. This match will certainly thrust him in the spotlight and will definitely position him as a threat to a big man and current Smackdown top guy.

With regards to Orton's rematch with Lesnar, it was supposed to be held at this month's WWE Clash of Champions on Sept. 25 in Indianapolis.

However, the bout has been moved on Sept. 24 during a house show in Chicago. This was confirmed by Lesnar's manager himself Paul Heyman on Twitter.

The arrangement of the match of such value had many fans scratching their heads, but a report by Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims that it was due to Lesnar's contract, wherein he is stated to receive different paycheck for live events and pay-per-view events.

That being said, the big rematch will only be held on a house show. It is even not unclear if it will be aired on the WWE Network, but what's sure is that the bout won't be filmed for it.
