After his bloody defeat during the Summerslam 2016 in New York City in late August, Randy Orton is confirmed to do a rematch with Brick Lesnar in a WWE Live Event in Chicago this month.

Orton controversially lost to Lesnar via TKO during the Aug. 21 match after The Beast savagely attacked him on the ring. Lesnar's vicious attacks using his elbows resulted to an open wound on Orton's forehead. It required The Viper to receive 10 stitches to close his wound.

Lesnar was even ordered to pay a $500 fine by Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon due to his brutal actions against Orton during the said event.

But Orton could get his revenge on Lesnar in the upcoming Live Event, which he confirmed through his Twitter account. WWE also promoted the event that will take place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, Sept 24.

According to the press release posted on WWE's official website, "Orton received 10 staples as a result of Lesnar's assault, and The Beast was fined by Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon for his actions. Hopefully, she has her checkbook ready for 'The Rematch.' Come to think of it, SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon might want to set a few dollars aside, too. Orton does not take well to being upstaged, and it's just as likely that Lesnar ends up on the receiving end of some ruthless aggression this time around."

Aside from Orton and Lesnar's rematch, the Featured Superstars in the upcoming Live Event include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Chris Jericho, Cesaro, Sheamus, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Charlotte.

Since this is a WWE Live Event, fans of professional wrestling should not expect the see the match aired on the WWE Network. But it does not mean that the two fierce fighters will not put on a good fight during the match.
