WWE rumors, news: Triple H headed for RAW general manager?

Vince McMahon has announced that Stephanie McMahon will be in charge of RAW while Shane McMahon will take the role of commissioner for Smackdown, as seen in the latest episode of RAW.

According to Yibada, it seems to be pretty excessive for two authority figures to take on this role within the same show. However, with the way WWE is right now, it might be a prudent decision to make. After all, there's still a question as to the person next in line to become the general manager of RAW.

To date, there are five people who could be candidates for this prestigious position. These are Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman, Vince, Kane and Triple-H. It's unlikely for Vince to be considered, though, since there will be a surplus of McMahons onscreen should he get chosen for this position.

As for those who remain, Heyman and Bischoff could prove to be solid choices since they both have experience in handling Smackdown and RAW, respectively. According to the same article, however, Bischoff is not in a contract with WWE and Heyman is content with his current position, as Brock Lesnar's advocate.

Rumors are also pointing out that since Stephanie is a heel character, she will likely hire a bad guy to become the general manager for RAW. As such, Kane and Triple H are the best candidates for this position, but both of them are part of The Authority.

This can present various complications, since The Authority has been in power in RAW for the past few years. With Triple H and Stephanie in charge of the show, a lot of fans see this as taking a step backward instead. Smackdown's future seems much brighter though, since it's possible for Daniel Bryan to become the general manager for this show. With Shane as commissioner and the show going live on a more permanent basis, fans can only expect good things from now on.
