Nikki Bella has once again successfully defended her WWE Divas Championship, defying the odds of a Triple Threat match which included the returning Paige and Naomi at the recently concluded WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Nikki didn't have sister Brie around for the match but yet managed to survive and extend her reign to 189 days with the win. And so Nikki's reign continues and prior to the event, her wish was to see new opponents possibly coming from the NXT ranks.

As far as the WWE Divas division is concerned, it seems like a repeat of same foes each time the title is on the line. Paige was supposed to be Nikki's opponent at WWE Extreme Rules but the diva succumbed to injuries no thanks to an attack by Naomi after winning a Divas Battle Royale to determine the no. 1 contender.

One would think that Paige would look for payback on Naomi for what had transpired before but as it turned out, the two oddly teaming up against Nikki Bella. That alliance did not last for long as Naomi and Paige eventually set their eyes on one another and thus providing Nikki ample time to recover and hit the rack attack on Naomi and the win.

As it stands now, expect Naomi or Paige to probably get another shot at the WWE Divas title and this is perhaps what Nikki was trying to point out before WWE EC.

There are a lot of women wrestlers which could get the call to be bumped up to the WWE main roster and hopefully such would provide the WWE Universe with new faces to cheer for, face or hell divas at that.

There are a lot of potential NXT women who could infuse new blood in the WWE Divas division, a new face which could be good overall. In a way, Nikki could be hinting at possibly following the push given to Neville and Kevin Owens into the main roster, new faces meaning new opponents in the midst.
