To this day, Roman Reigns remains clueless on why Bray Wyatt is targeting him.

A rewind into the events that led to the current storyline shows that everything apparently started when Reigns got Wyatt as the last opponent of that gauntlet match set by Triple H and the Authority. The match was part of a main storyline involving Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose and no one really saw it escalating until World Wrestling Entertainment Money in the Bank (WWE MOTB).

At WWE MOTB, it will be recalled that Reigns almost had his hands on the briefcase before Wyatt suddenly appeared. And as anyone would expect, Reigns was livid and wanted a measure of revenge at the following WWE Raw show.

Wyatt eventually explained his actions, saying that Reigns cost him the chance to participate at WWE MOTB, an opportunity that simply came up because of that celebrated gauntlet match.

Reigns has been known for his power moves while Wyatt is using his usual mind games on the former Shield member. Both are set to collide at WWE Battleground on July 19 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis with Reigns an obvious favorite.

But the question is, will it end there?

Many feel that Wyatt is perfect when it comes to helping Reigns improve in the WWE. Being a heel, Wyatt is indirectly helping Reigns build his character for something big and possibly the WWE title.

Though there is no timetable for Reigns to become the new face of the WWE, it is apparent that he needs a lot of work as far as showmanship and talking is concerned. Hopefully all that can be polished as Reigns temporarily slides out of the WWE title limelight.

As far as the storyline is concerned, there is a chance that it would go beyond WWE SummerSlam although that decision will remain with the WWE Creative Team.

Reigns is an obvious superstar but still needs some trims around the edges, especially the way he addresses the WWE Universe when he is given the opportunity to talk.
