It has been over seven years since the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Universe has seen Jonathan Coachman, a heel commentator who had been around the WWE for quite some time.

With the vast array of personalities picking up the commentating and interviews, Coachman's exit was hardly noticed. But one thing that fans can recall about Coachman is the fact that he does carry a comical side.

And being a heel, WWE fans simply got a kick waiting for Coachman to get a beating.

He did have some in-ring performances but for the ones who have been long following the WWE, Coachman is best known for his off-ring antics. Among his memorable performances inside the ring included being a participant in the 2005 WWE Royal Rumble where he lasted for over 13 minutes.

Coachman left the WWE after 2008, eventually moving on as an anchor for ESPN's Sportscenter.

Word of his possible appearance first came out on social medium Twitter. Coachman practically teased the idea and as soon as the WWE fans saw it, questions were thrown his way.

It could be that Coachman was trying to help spur hype for WWE SummerSlam and that included possibly being there for one night only. But if ever he does appear, it won't be inside the ring but perhaps a spill or interview.

Why the sudden interest? Well, it could be a business angle. But the thing is, the WWE is not considered a legitimate sport. Apparently, ESPN as well as other companies have such mindset, although there are reports that ESPN may be having a change of heart.

ESPN seems to be playing on the idea that the WWE is "hot property" despite the fact that is not a real sport. And the final word from F4WOnline is that Coachman would be covering the WWE pay per view (PPV) for SportsCenter.
