WWE SummerSlam 2016 predictions: The Shield are on the wishlist; Event to last almost 5 hours

WWE Money in the Bank - John Cena vs AJ StylesWWE

The WWE SummerSlam event is expected to run for four and half hours, 30 minutes longer than last year's event as well as the usual duration of Wrestlemania pay-per-view events.

Ticketmaster, the official retailer of tickets for WWE events among others, changed the timeslot for SummerSlam 2016 from 6:30 p.m. ET to 6 p.m. ET. This hints that there will be a lot to see in the upcoming affair.

It won't be much of a surprise if this year's SummerSlam will run much longer. SummerSlam is usually a three-hour event until last year, when WWE added an additional hour.

Even though WWE reserves four hours for Wrestlemania, the tradition was broken off last year and it looks like WWE SummerSlam 2016 will be four and half hour worth of wrestling and feud goodness.

The pay-per-view event will indeed be one for the books seeing that it will reportedly host a rematch between John Cena and AJ Styles, who are set to face off in the Money in the Bank ladder match this week.

According to speculations, the Cena-Styles feud, which started when the leader of Cenation returned from a five-month break necessitated by his shoulder injury, will even last up to SummerSlam.

It is believed that Styles will emerge the winner in the "dream match" possibly with the help of his on again and off again pals Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows aka The Club, making Cena livid and hungry for a rematch that will likely be scheduled in the SummerSlam.

Meanwhile, Bleacher Report believes that the Money in the Bank will be conquered by Dean Ambrose. The publication believes that he will cash in for a match, which will pit him against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, who will be fighting for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion title at Money in the Bank.

It will easily make for a triple threat match involving the members of The Shield, a fight that many fans have been hoping to see in a long while.
