Allen Neal Jones, who is popularly known as A.J. Styles in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), will be competing against Miroslav Barnyashev aka "Rusev" on SmackDown Live in order to determine who will get to compete at Survivor Series 2017.

During SmackDown Live on Oct. 31, it was announced that the competition between Styles and Rusev will be a Survivor Series qualifying match. The match will take place during SmackDown Live in Manchester, England next week. The event will also have a tag team title match featuring the Usos against Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable.

A recent post from the official WWE Twitter page features Rusev's message for Styles. According to Sportskeeda, Rusev gave a backstage interview about his upcoming match with Styles. Rusev was filled with determination and said that not even The Phenomenal One will stop him from making his way to the Survivor Series and joining Team SmackDown.

Reportedly, Rusev is upset by the turn of events because other wrestles only had to win one match in order to earn a spot on the SmackDown team. Rusev already beat Ettore Ewen aka Big E earlier on, but now he had=s to beat Styles as well.

Rusev is determined to pull through the obstacles they've thrown his way and prove himself in the ring and in combat, but he did express that he isn't thrilled or happy about it.

Styles has earned the status of Wild Card in the Survivor Series. He's been viewed as a force to be reckoned with, and earlier in the SmackDown series, defeated Samir Singh in a fight that didn't last very long.

Styles debuted in 1998 and since then, he has gone on to become one of the well-known wrestlers in WWE history.

The WWE Survivor Series 2017 will be held on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. EST.
