The next awaited event for wrestling is the WWE Survivor Series on Sunday, Nov. 19, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The pay-per-view event will see wrestlers from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live in numerous matches.

One of the most awaited matches during the event is the one where the Universal Champion will be pitted against the WWE Champion. John Cena will be the guest referee, reports say. This is apt and fitting for the fiance of Nikki Bella, who used to be the titleholder of the WWE Champion as well.

The non-title fight would see Brock Lesnar, known as "The Beast," and Jinder Mahal, known as "Modern Day Maharaja," battle it out in the ring. F4W Online's Dave Meltzer earlier reported that Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as "The Rock," and Steve Austin were also eyed to be the referee in the said match if their schedules permit. But, it seemed that it did not, as Cena was reportedly the one to preside the match.

The match between Lesnar and Mahal was announced early on, but Thursday's news rocked the wrestling world. Mahal will defend his title against A.J. Styles, also known as "The Phenomenal." So, fans were speculating that Styles, should he win the match for the WWE Champion title, could possibly be the one to face Lesnar in the Survivor Series. The match between Styles and Mahal will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, SmackDown in Manchester, England.

Some believe that Cena will bring the needed popularity back to the game, as although Lesnar is now a well-known player, Mahal is not. Cena could possibly join the game as well. The "You Can't See Me" singer might get into a fight with Lesnar, a former rival, which could prompt to another match. WWE is expected to announce the guest referee in the days leading to the Survivor Series.
