WWE umors: John Cena likely to return day after Christmas

With the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) in dire need of stars to help perk up their ratings, John Cena and even the Big Show could be a big help to that cause. But sadly, it doesn't seem like both are making appearances any time soon.

Cena is still out and he has just recently been removed from the WWE Live Event advertisement set for Dec. 19. The said date was earlier rumored to be the earliest date that the Cenation leader could return but now, it looks like all plans for that have been moved to the week after, Dec. 26.

The Big Show on, the other hand, has been out of the WWE scene, with reports that the giant has been dealing with a knee injury. He was spotted at the Performance Center recently and is reportedly set to work on some weekend live events.

The Big Show was last seen on Nov. 9 when he faced Roman Reigns in the preliminary rounds for the WWE heavyweight title tournament.

With that said, it looks like the WWE will have to make do with the deck they have right now. A lot of their stars like Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, and Cesaro have gone down on various injuries and the creative team may have to step up the other personalities who are stored up backstage.

The ratings still continue to plunge and the latest move is the assembly of the League of Nations which saw the gathering of top heels led by WWE heavyweight champion Sheamus.

Reigns is also expected to lead a faction of his own, reportedly named "The Family" as reported by Wrestling Inc. Dean Ambrose and the Usos will back up the Big Dog as they go up against Sheamus' minions in Rusev, Alberto Del Rio, and King Barrett.

Could this mean that any hope of seeing Reigns conquer Sheamus for the WWE title will not happen before the year ends?
