WWE Wrestlemania 33 news, rumors: what are the options for Raw and Smackdown?

Will Wrestlemania 33 see a fight between Roman Reigns and John Cena?WWE.com

The recent split of WWE Raw and Smackdown will make a big impact on the Wrestlemania 33, but all for the better. According to the latest reports, the divide would mean that there might be two main events on the upcoming pay-per-view show.

According to Daily DDT, the Wrestlemania 33, being the biggest event for the industry, should make sure that the now-separated brands will both be represented at Wrestlemania 33.

In order to do so, WWE can opt for two distinct main features that serve each of the units. WWE will have to make sure that neither of the brands will get the short end of the stick during Wrestlemania 33.

While Raw and Smackdown are now to separate entities, WWE can certainly capitalize on this separation by playing the rivalry card. This is why in Wrestlemania 33, fans will likely be treated with a Raw vs. Smackdown throwdown. Daily DDT believes this will be done in the form of a five-on-five tag team match.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that on Wrestlemania 33, the main event will be a fight between John Cena, who just returned to the scene after a five-month break, and Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Champion title.

WWE will reportedly pit these two warriors against each other with a feud that will likely take shape in the months to come. For now though, Reigns and Cena are allegedly being kept away from each other to set up their ultimate encounter soon.

Meanwhile, the announcement of Goldberg being a pre-order character in "WWE 2K17" had many thinking that the man will be back in the WWE ring as well.

According to reports, Goldberg and WWE might once again be open for a reunion even though they parted on a negative note. His inclusion in the next 2K Sports wrestling game may jumpstart that.

However, being back in a video game (Goldberg was in previous "WWE 2K" titles as well) is one but returning to the real deal is a completely different story.

While the hopes for former World Heavyweight Champion to be back in the WWE ring will shoot up after his "WWE 2K17" inclusion, this may not equate to Goldberg fighting again inside the ring.

Despite this, there are rumors that Goldberg might be back in time for the Wrestlemania 33. For now, this is more of wishful thinking than a true possibility.
