'X-Men: Apocalypse' trailer release at Comic-Con 2015?

X-Men Days of Future Past - Rogue Cut cover20th Century Fox

Marvel Studios, Paramount Pictures, and Sony Pictures are all skipping Hall H for this year's Comic-Con, but 20th Century Fox has confirmed that they will take the big stage to showcase some of their films. Although the studio has not yet announced which films will be presented, director Bryan Singer gives hope that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will be presented.

Singer posted a short promotional video for "X-Men: Days of Future Past - The Rogue Cut" via Instagram and captioned it: "Also hoping I can bring some stuff to show you #hallh from #xmenapocalypse."

Hall H is the biggest room at the Comic-Con venue and is used by big movie studios to present major panels such as when Marvel Studios brought the whole cast of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" for Comic-Con 2014.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is currently in production in Montreal but that doesn't mean the cast, writers, and director can't find a window in their schedule to go to Hall H and give fans a sneak preview of the upcoming film. According to a report from Screen Rant, Marvel Studios did it for the aforementioned "Age of Ultron" even though production was still ongoing at the time.

The report also cites that it would be a wasted opportunity for 20th Century Fox if they didn't showcase the new "X-Men" film now that they can hog the spotlight since the other big studios will not be presenting their own projects at Hall H save for Warner Bros.

According to a report from Collider, the studio might also take the opportunity to showcase "Fantastic Four" and "Deadpool," both of which are also being produced by 20th Century Fox. Word of a "Fantastic Four" and "X-Men" crossover film has been spreading across the Web and this might be a good opportunity to address the rumors.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to be released in theaters on May 27, 2016 while the Rogue Cut of "X-Men: Days of Future Past" will be released for home video on July 14.
