It is only less than a year before the release of "X-Men: Apocalypse," and movie director Bryan Singer seems to be taking a new role of spilling teasers to keep fans excited about the film. 

In a recent Instagram post, Singer shared a behind-the-scenes photo of actress Alexandra Shipp as she portrays the role of Storm in the third and final installment in the "X-Men: First Class" trilogy. The special effects for the movie were not yet applied to the picture, but the monitor already added cinematic landscapes with the use of simulcam. 

He captioned it: "Storm watches over 1983 Cairo via the magic of real time simulcam." 

This could mean that the Mohawk-styled mutant, who is said to be one of the horsemen of the film's biggest villain Apocalypse, follows her boss to Egypt where he originated. 

In the original "X-Men" trilogy where Halle Berry portrayed the role of the former queen consort of Wakanda, Storm is known as one of the peacekeepers under the leadership of Professor X. But in a previous Empire interview, Singer said that Shipp's younger version of Storm will deal with her dark past. The director also described Storm in "X-Men: Apocalypse" as "a troubled character who is going down the wrong path in life." 

This is not the first time that the film director posted a behind-the-scenes look of Cairo in his Instagram account. Earlier, Singer shared a photo of a totally ruined background which will reportedly be used in the film as the ruined city of Cairo. 

Singer also released other photos taken from the set of the upcoming movie, including the suspended scenes featuring Evan Peters as Quicksilver. He also said that Patrick Stewart also dropped by the set to reprise his role as the older Professor X, which is currently being portrayed by James McAvoy. 

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated for release on May 27, 2016.
