Fans now have more idea what Bryan Singer's upcoming "X-Men: Apocalypse" film will look as new images from the set have been released. 

The film director has been ver generous in sharing photos of the film via his Instagram account. In April, Singer posted the first look of young mutants Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Jubilee (Lana Condor) who displayed their 1980s fashion on the set of the movie during its second day of filming. 

More recently, the filmmaker posted a new set photo, but this time, the director did not feature any cast member on his post. Instead, Singer posted a very chaotic background with the caption, "Tip toeing through ruined #Cairo #1983 #xmen #apocalypse" 

Based on the image, a scene was shot in an Egyptian marketplace. And by the looks of it, something terrible happened in that part of Cairo, where no one could have ever survived. 

Marvel Comics fans will recognize the Egyptian city as Storm's place of origin. They know that Professor X met the young mutant in the streets of Cairo while she was still a street thief, which is why the weather-controlling mutant would often opt to return to the city whenever she leaves the team during her periods of hiatus. 

Does the picture imply that Storm's background will be tackled in the upcoming movie?

Meanwhile, 20th Century Fox also released a series of still photos taken from the set of "X-Men: Apocalypse." Eight pictures have been re-released in higher resolution compared to the same photographs that were featured in the previous edition of the Entertainment Weekly. With its new version, fans will get to see more details about the stars and their characters in the film. 

"X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated for release on May 27, 2016. It will feature the return of James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier / Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Raven Darkhölme / Mystique, and Nicholas Hoult as Hank McCoy / Beast.
