LucidSound, which produces gaming audio hardware, will be releasing the LS35X Wireless Gaming Headset, a wireless headset for the Xbox One console.

The product, which is licensed by Xbox, is the first wireless headset that will be released for the gaming console. It will also not require a base station to be used. According to the company's press release, the device uses the same technology that connects controllers to the console. It is automatically configured, so there is no need for manual setup. All players will need to do is to pair it directly with the Xbox One console as they would a controller.

The LS35X Wireless Gaming Headset can also be connected to Windows 10 PCs that have built-in Xbox Wireless technology, or else come with the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows. It is also compatible with Windows Sonic for Headphones and the Dolby Atmos for Headphones surround sound technology. The ear-cup control system of the headset will allow gamers to make adjustments on the audio settings without losing steam while playing.

According to Engadget, the headset will also be compatible with Project Scorpio, the highly anticipated next-generation gaming console that Microsoft is currently developing to serve as the successor of Xbox One.

"The LucidSound team has designed the LS35X as a headset for this generation of Xbox players with the most simplistic wireless capability to date," said Chris Von Huben, chief executive officer (CEO) of LucidSound in a press release, published by PRNewsWire.

According to the CEO, more details about the headset will be revealed during the 2017 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), in which the company will be presenting it. "We believe the Xbox gamer will be blown away by the feature set and quality. This is just the beginning of our announcements for E3 in June and it only gets better," he added.

The LS35X Wireless Gaming Headset is expected to be released in time for the 2017 holidays, although the exact date has yet to be identified. The price has not been revealed yet.
