Xbox Games with Gold December 2015 free games list

 Xbox Wire announcement

It is already the last month for the year, but members of the Xbox Live Gold are still in for a surprise. There is another batch of titles for the Games with Gold program, with different games featured for the month of December.

In the announcement on Xbox Wire, there will be at least five more games to be added to the Games with Gold titles list, and all the games would be free for Xbox Live Gold members. Starting off the program for the month is "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing," available as a free download for all days of December.

Xbox One players who are also Live Gold members can also download for free another action-stealth combat title, "Thief." However, rather than the title being available all month, players can only get "Thief" for free starting Dec. 16, and the free download option will expire on Jan. 15.

Xbox 360 players get three free titles for the month of December, starting with tower defense title "CastleStorm," available for download from Dec. 1 to Dec. 15. Meanwhile, the other two titles, the medieval setting "Sacred 3" and future war combat title "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising," will be available for free download from Dec. 16 to Dec. 31.

It should also be noted that the three titles for the Xbox 360 can also be downloaded and played by Xbox One owners, provided their consoles are already updated with the backwards compatibility feature of the system.

According to Polygon, members of the Xbox Live Gold have saved at least $900 with the Games with Gold program. For this year, subscribers who paid the $60 yearly subscription fee have at least 42 titles to choose from as a free download. The titles themselves are diverse, from the sports gameplay "Pool Nation FX" offered earlier in the year, to role-playing triple-A titles like the ported "CastleStorm" and "Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition" remaster.
