Previously, it has been teased that the RPG "Blue Dragon" will be compatible with the Xbox One. The rumor is now confirmed, as the game has been recently added to the games list for the backward compatibility feature for the current-gen console.

The game joins other titles recently released for the Xbox One. As it is only the first week of the month, it is expected that more games will follow, as Microsoft has overhauled the release schedule for adding titles to the games list. When the backward compatibility feature went live late last year, Microsoft has partnered with publishers and developers to release games on a monthly basis, with at least five games being added each month. However, the Microsoft and Xbox improved on the launch dates and changed the schedule to accommodate more games. Now, games are being added to the games list on an "as available" basis. This has been proven to be quicker in releasing BC games. For example, just last month, at least 12 new games were added to the backward compatibility games list.

However, not all fans will get to enjoy "Blue Dragon" on the Xbox One. While the game has been confirmed as a backwards-compatible title, the feature is only applicable to the game disc version only. Those who own "Blue Dragon" as a digital copy will have to continue playing the game on the Xbox 360 for the moment.

"Blue Dragon" as a game disc title that is backward compatible is good news to some of the fans of the feature. This means that other multi-part classic games will also be given access to the Xbox One, much like how the "Director's Cut" version of "Deus Ex: Human Revolution" was added to the list earlier this year.

"Blue Dragon" originally came out as a three-disc, multi-part series released for the Xbox 360 back in 2007.
