Microsoft and Xbox are celebrating the first year of its backwards compatibility program for the Xbox One by adding a slew of fan-requested titles.

In the latest announcement for the games list, Xbox has confirmed that another fan-favorite request, "Skate 3," is already live for play on the Xbox One as part of the backwards compatibility roster. The classic skater game was released for the Xbox 360 back in 2010.

Aside from "Skate 3," other triple-A titles were also added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility games list. Just last week, Xbox also added "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" to the roster. With the addition of the titles, hardcore fans of the franchise will get the chance to refresh previous installments prior to the release of the next follow-up, "Mass Effect: Andromeda." In addition, other big-name games like "Red Dead Redemption" are already in the program.

The three major games are part of Microsoft's mix of classic indie and triple-A releases for the backwards compatibility games list. Launched in November last year, the program already has at least 200 titles in its roster, with more games coming out as part of its second year since Microsoft already changed the release schedule for the program. When it launched, Xbox One backwards compatibility games are being added to the list on a monthly basis. However, Microsoft changed the schedule "as is," with games now being added to the roster immediately after they are ported for the current-gen Xbox console.

Meanwhile, followers are expecting other fan-requested titles to also make it to the list. Since the "Mass Effect" franchise and "Skate 3" are already in the program, it is likely that other requested games like the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" titles, "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," and "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" will also be added to the games roster.
