Microsoft's Xbox One backwards compatibility lineup has just gotten more jam-packed with the addition of new action-centered titles in the form of Tom Clancy's "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier" and "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker."

The two games originally saw a release on the Xbox 360. Its debut on the Xbox One backward compatible roster was confirmed by none other than Microsoft's director for programming Larry Hryb in a tweet that excited past fans of the two powerhouse titles.

As a reminder, "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" was originally released on the PlayStation portable console (PSP) back in 2010. It centers on the series' protagonist Snake aka Big Boss in the 70s inside Colombia as he manages his militant mercenary group "Soldiers Without Borders." The group is then hired by the Costa Rican government to suppress the Peace Sentinels -- a large military group who threatens the balance between East and West.

In contrast, "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier" is set in the far future, where advanced weaponry and technology are abundant, it takes players to various campaigns set in Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, and Norway. It first debuted on the gaming scene back in 2012 and saw a release on the following platforms: the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Microsoft Windows.

As per usual, users who own a disc of the two games can just pop it inside the Xbox One in order to get a piece of the adrenaline-inducing action brought on by the titles. Meanwhile, for those who purchased the games digitally, it will automatically be available on the Ready to Download section of the My Games and Apps setting.

For first timers, just head down to the Xbox Store to purchase a copy of both games. If interested, fans can check the complete list of Xbox titles available for the Xbox One by clicking here.
