Earlier this week, Microsoft attempted to gain the upper hand against its console rival Sony by offering a discounted bundle on its Xbox One console. Consumers who acted swiftly secured for themselves Microsoft's next generation console as well as Ubisoft's action-adventure title, "Assassin's Creed: Unity," for the price of just $299. The offer was available at e-commerce giant Amazon's website as well as BestBuy. Unfortunately, buyers who discovered the deal later than the Jan. 3 will not be able to take advantage of the discounted deal as the price of console is back to its original retail value, at least on BestBuy. 

Buyers who still want to acquire a modicum discount bundle can purchase the Xbox One along with "Assassin's Creed: Unity" for the price of $379.99 from Amazon. Currently, Amazon has provided no details as to when this deal will expire.

During Black Friday, one of the retail giants present in the U.S., Target, offered console gamers with a deal that could not have been overlooked, thanks to a discounted bundle that was slashed to $329. Buyers who also possessed a $50 gift card from Target were able to further reduce the $329 price tag of the console bundle to $279. The deal was voted as one of the top 5 bestselling Black Friday deals by consumers.

Console gamers who regret being unable to purchase the Xbox One Bundle Deal can make amends through other offers presented by Target, JB Hi-Fi, and EB Games. Target is selling an Xbox One Bundle Deal which includes the Xbox One, "Assassin's Creed: Unity," "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" and "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," all for the price of $429.95. 

In addition, EB Games is offering an Xbox One plus three games for the price of $499.99. As for JB Hi-Fi, it is offering an Xbox One with Kinect plus Ubisoft's "Assassin's Creed: Unity" for $599.95.
