Xbox One sales: Xbox Store Black Friday sale begins Nov. 24

It's that time of the year once again when people are on the lookout for great deals, and gamers will be glad to know that even the Xbox Store is getting in on the action.

Starting Nov. 24, the Xbox Store will be having its Black Friday sale, as the retailer puts various items on sale along with significant discounts. There will be deals for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360, so even those still using the last generation platform can enjoy the event.

Among the most notable elements of the Black Friday sale are the Xbox Live Gold subscriptions that will be made available for just $1 apiece, according to Gamespot.

Numerous titles will also be going on sale starting Nov. 24, with Microsoft suggesting that people can save up to as much as 60 percent on some games.

Microsoft has also announced that there will be more than 150 different games going on sale starting Nov. 24, and some of the more notable titles include "Batman: Arkham Knight," "Far Cry 4," "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," "The Witcher 3," and plenty of others, according to WCCF Tech.

People who already have Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will receive early access to the sale, which will begin on Nov. 20.

In related news, fresh updates have been coming out recently for the Xbox One, although they are currently available only to a limited audience.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, Xbox One preview members have been receiving minor updates for their consoles.

The tweaks are reportedly very minor at this point, with elements of the console such as DIAL and voice recognition among the few areas that have been affected.

The minor updates are also expected to be rolled out to other Xbox One units a little later on. The next major update for the Xbox One is not expected to arrive until February 2016.
