Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, said that he is not worried about Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro being released before their very own Xbox Scorpio. He is confident that their video game console will have great sales figures, and he wants them to take their time to build the upcoming device to make it perfect.

The Xbox Scorpio is scheduled to be released sometime in late 2017. Its competitor, Sony, is scheduled to release their PlayStation 4 Pro earlier. Both machines will be capable of streaming 4K videos, and they will both have support for HDR or High Dynamic Range.

Spencer then said to the Japanese Famitsu magazine (via Play Asia) that: "I have no worries at all. We understand that the Playstation 4 Pro has a firm grasp of the current game market but we want to spend more time understanding the market and the ins and outs of future technology in order to create a system with a true sense of 4K gaming. We want to sit down and get to know each and every component going into the console and how we can perfect it showing the best gaming can offer."

He also added that Microsoft is also confident that they will be able to provide a "true sense of 4K gaming," given the advancement of technology. They are currently focusing their resources into this, and they also assured the fans that it will be available by next year.

The interview also tackled the poor sales performance of the Xbox One in Japan, which could definitely impact the sales of the soon-to-be-released Xbox One S in the country. He acknowledged that the factor is the available games in the market. The gamers have different preferences, and they simply have not tapped the country's game market to the maximum.

In relation to this, they will try and tap game developers in the said region and try to create games that the Japanese gamers will also enjoy on their console.

The Xbox Scorpio is scheduled to arrive in late 2017.
