The release of the highly-anticipated Nintendo Switch game "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is out in a little over two months' time. With the upcoming release just around the corner, the developers of the game have been releasing screenshots to give fans a taste of just how beautiful the game is as well as to promote it.

In a report by Dual Shockers, "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is shaping up to be a truly beautiful and immersive game, as per the screenshots released. The game's developers, Monolith Soft, has already released images to show the contrast between night and day in the game. In the official game's account, it can be seen that one of the characters, Guura, is in the same place but in both night and day.

It is very evident that the developers gave much thought in the sunlight and moonlight effects, especially since Guura's armor shines and glistens differently during the night as the moonlight bounces off of the armor. The fans of the "Xenoblade" series have to thank Takahiro Kimura, who is the character designer for the Japanese anime television show "Code Geass."

The influence in his work can definitely be seen from his design of new character, Tokiha – a wielder of a unique looking three-bladed spear. It seems that Monolith Soft has gotten a few respectable artists to help design the game, apart from Takahiro Kimura. The new character named Shiki is designed by Kouji Ogata, who is the character creator of "Boogiepop."

Shiki is a character that is easily recognizable due to the absence of her middle torso and feet. Her wrists have books around them, as she wears them like bracelets.

Fans may be pleased to know that the special edition of "Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is now available for pre-order. According to Game Rant, the special edition will include a 220 page art book, an original soundtrack of the game, and a case made out of metal. The special edition is currently priced at $99.

"Xenoblade Chronicles 2" is scheduled to be released on Dec. 1 for the Nintendo Switch.
