Users in India have another chance to own a Xiaomi Mi 4i. Not too long ago, the Chinese company organized a flash sale for the handset on Flipkart. Those who wanted to get the device had to make sure that they were registered or that they had invitations, and that they were fast enough to click and order. It was a cutthroat competition, to say the least.

This time around, it is much easier to acquire the more affordable version of the Xiaomi Mi 4. There is a two-day open sale today and tomorrow, May 25 and May 26. There's no need to sign up to anything although it pays for interested buyers to be quick in placing their orders.

The handset is Xiaomi's first exclusive offering to India, whose market has become very important to the tech firm. India is second to its home fort China among its biggest markets. While the company has released most of its products in the country, this is the first time a device is being released straight in the region. The device is being sold there for INR 12,990.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i comes with a 5-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 3-armored display rendering a 1080p resolution and a sharp 441 ppi pixel density. It draws its power from a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, which goes with a CPU clocked at 1.7 Ghz. This is paired nicely with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage that is not expandable.

The processor is capable of running Android 5.0 Lollipop, which is juxtaposed with MIUI 6. The Xiaomi Mi 4i houses a 13-megapixel shooter on the back and its 5-megapixel front-facing snapper allows users to take great selfies. Lastly, the smartphone juices up with its 3120 mAh battery unit.

Up until now, Xiaomi only offers a white colored version of the handset. It is unclear when the company will put the others up for grabs. Noteworthy, however, is that the Chinese-based tech firm rolled out an 804 MB update for the Xiaomi Mi 4i, which was reported by users to have overheating issues.
