A couple more handsets out of Chinese tech firm Xiaomi are coming to light. A new leak hints that the tech world is close to seeing the long overdue Xiaomi Mi 5 in the flesh as well as the heavily rumored Redmi Note 2 Pro expected to go along with it.

Just recently, the former, which is the much-awaited flagship that is almost half a year late, visited a benchmark test and was revealed to come in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, which means that it will be first e among the flurry of devices to ever boast the new-gen powerful chipset.

Previous rumors indicated the same although there were murmurs that the Xiaomi Mi 5 (now revealed to have the codename Xiaomi Gemini) will end up with a Helio X20 processor instead. The benchmark listing also showed it will have Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board instead of Lollipop.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is becoming more and more tangible. The device just got certified by TENAA, Chinese certification and regulatory authority. This means that it won't be long before the smartphone releases.

The listing on TENAA revealed that the handset, unlike the 5.2-inch Xiaomi Mi 5, will house a MediaTek Helio X10 chipset. It also will come with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space. The Redmi Note 2 Pro also has a 5.5-inch Full HD display.

In terms of release date, rumors dictate that the Xiaomi Mi 5 will be launched Dec. 3. But considering the chipset it contains won't be available until next year, media outlets say the closest bet is around Chinese New Year, which is on February.

As for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro, which will allegedly be sold for only $170, rumor has it that next month is a likely setup knowing that it has already been certified by TENAA.
