The rumors are rife that the Xiaomi Mi 6's successor will arrive soon. Following the current trend in premium smartphones, the Mi 7 is expected to sport a dual-lens camera setup and a bezel-less display. Although, Xiaomi's upcoming is likely to beat all the 2017 flagship handsets with its killer specs, specifically the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.

According to the latest scoop by MyDrivers, the Xiaomi Mi 7 will be one of the first smartphones to receive the Snapdragon 845 SoC. Qualcomm has yet to finish developing the top-tier mobile processor, but given that the chip will be the current Snapdragon 835's successor, it has the potential to double the performance boost of Xiaomi Mi 7.

On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to receive dual rear camera, which is a combination of two 16MP sensors. One of the two lenses to be used in the dual camera module will have f/1.7 aperture. Similar to other premium smartphones with dual camera, the Mi 7 is likely to get features such as the Portrait Mode with Bokeh effect.

As per NDTV, Xiaomi will possibly go with this year's trend of an all-screen display. With this, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is rumored to sport a bezel-less display. The handset is expected to sport a full 6.01-inch screen that features an OLED panel made by Samsung. If true, this would be a huge leap from the Mi 6's 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with 1080x1920 pixels resolution.

Even as the Xiaomi Mi 7 will have a full view 6-inch display, the smartphone will likely keep the same compact form of the Mi series, thanks to its bezel-less screen. To note, however, the Mi 7 will not be the first device from Xiaomi to have thin bezels. The Chinese tech company launched the Mi MIX and Mi MIX 2 with full screen displays. Although, the upcoming Mi 7 is said to be different due to its glass back panel, which also raises the possibility of wireless charging.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 is expected to launch in the first half of 2018.
