Xiaomi has already announced that its first premium handset for 2018, the Mi Mix 2S, will be showcased later this month. Still, the Chinese tech firm has yet to confirm the specs and design features of the smartphone, although it can be expected that the Mi Mix 2S will have almost the same vibe as last year's Mi Mix 2. Tech experts predict that the Mi Mix 2S could also adopt a bezel-less display with a notch on top, akin to the iPhone X, but the latest reports show that the device will just go for a plain, all-screen design.

The first round of leaks concerning the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S came from Slash Leaks, which shows the handset having a bezel-less display and an iPhone X-like notch that contains the front-facing camera sensors. This also led to speculations that the Mi Mix 2S could also feature a facial-recognition technology similar to Apple's Face ID system. However, the latest Mi Mix 2S poster shared by Xiaomi via its official Weibo account suggests that the smartphone will not have a notch.

The latest Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S poster shows that the device will have its front completely wrapped by the screen panel from edge to edge. With this, there is now a confusion as to where the selfie camera will be housed, given that there is no area at the top display portion that can hold the image sensor.

In other news, Xiaomi also confirmed through its Weibo account that the Mi Mix 2S will boast wireless charging. This is a much-welcomed improvement from the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 build, with all the smartphone flagships recently released having wireless charging capability. Also, this could be a sign that Xiaomi will be incorporating wireless charging technology to all of its upcoming hardware this year.

Previous details about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S state that the handset will sport a 5.99-inch display and a dual-lens rear camera. The Mi Mix 2S will be the first mobile device from Xiaomi to receive Qualcomm's latest high-end chipset, the Snapdragon 845. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will be unveiled at a solo event in Shanghai, China on March 27th.
