Xiaomi is one of the expected participants of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 later this February. According to the latest rumors, the Chinese handset maker is set to launch the updated version of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Dubbed the Mi Mix 2S, the upcoming smartphone will include a handful of features of its predecessor. However, the recent leaked renders suggest that the Mi Mix 2S will sport ever thinner bezels to achieve a true all-screen front design, as well as a dual-lens camera setup.

The latest leaked renders of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S was posted on Weibo. According to NDTV, the Mi Mix 2S is shown to have a full view display with almost nonexistent bezels. It is noticeable that the bezels on the top and bottom portions are much thinner compared with those of the Mi Mix 2. The supporting texts in the design schematic state that this all-screen display form of the Mi Mix 2S will be formally called as the Full Screen Display 3.0 feature. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is expected to have a four-sided curved ceramic build.

It also appears that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will make the jump to the dual-lens camera build. The leaked renders show a combination of two 12 MP camera sensors mounted at the rear. It is likely that this dual camera module is similar to the one used in Xiaomi Mi 6 smartphone.

Going to the inner hardware, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S is revealed to boast an 8 GB of LPDDR4X random-access memory (RAM), as well as 256GB UFS built-in storage. Interestingly, the upcoming smartphone is now expected to come with faster internet connection speed through the global 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) bands.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S leaks suggest that the phone will be the first from the company to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, earlier leaks have shown the Mi Mix 2S with a rear-positioned fingerprint reader instead, so this part of the leaked design appears to be questionable.

The leaked design of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S does not show the mobile processor to run the smartphone. However, it was previously rumored that the Mi Mix 2 successor will boast Qualcomm's latest high-end chipset, the Snapdragon 845. This will give the device a significant boost in performance compared with Xiaomi's older phones. If ever, the Mi Mix 2S will be the first handset in the world to be launched with the Snapdragon 845.
