Previously, speculations suggest that Xiaomi will be unveiling its new Mi Note 2 flagship later this month. However, new reports say that the debut will have a slight setback, and a new November launch is scheduled instead.

According to GizmoChina, a supposed announcement has been made on Chinese microblogging site Weibo. The post reportedly touches on a November launch for the Mi Note 2. In addition, the announcement also mentioned some of the purported specs for the upcoming flagship. In the post, the Mi Note 2 is supposed to feature a 5.7-inch display, with dual-curved edges and 2K resolution.

Earlier speculations have mentioned that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is supposed to have a late September launch. However, the tech maker only released its new step-up iteration, the Mi 5s, with the Mi Note 2 a no-show at Xiaomi's Sept. 27 press event.

However, it should be noted that pending official confirmation from Xiaomi, the supposed unveiling timeline, and specs of the Mi Note 2 remain hearsay. Recent speculations counter previous reports for the upcoming flagship. Prior to the Weibo announcement, noted analyst Pan Jiutang predicted that Xiaomi will be targeting a late October release for the Mi Note 2. In addition, the new flagship is supposed to feature a clearer QHD display. In fact, some supposed press images for the new flagship have already made their way online, listing the Mi Note 2 with at least three variants and a number of color options.

On the other hand, the 2K display may be used for the base model of Mi Note 2, with the QHD screen integrated into another variant. Alleged leaks have pointed out that a Pro version of the Mi Note 2 is also supposed to come out, and it will have a step-up Snapdragon 821 chipset and a massive 8-GB RAM. Its storage will also get a 256-GB boost.
