Xiaomi has already confirmed that its next flagship will debut on Oct. 25. Meanwhile, it is said that the upcoming Mi Note 2 will be the most expensive Xiaomi flagship to date, fetching as high as $845.

According to Android Pure, supposed leaks out of China indicate that in one presentation slide, it is featured that the Mi Note 2 will have a price tag of about 5,699 Yuan, or around $850. Since this is the highest price range for a Xiaomi device, it is surmised that the price tag will be for the most premium Mi Note 2, with the Snapdragon 821 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of onboard storage. However, this remains unclear, since previous rumors also mentioned a Pro version for the Mi Note 2, with a massive 8 GB RAM.

It is also said that the Mi Note 2 will have a minimum price of 4,999 Yuan, around $745 for the base model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. The base price is also for the version with the full HD display. The top-tier, premium variant, on the other hand, reportedly features a Quad HD screen.

Should the price tag prove true, this will be the first time that Xiaomi will breach above $600. Even the top-tier iterations under the Mi 5 lineup have had steady prices consistent with the Xiaomi brand. With the new price break for the Mi Note 2, Xiaomi is looking to take other flagship lineups head-on. The closest that the top-tier Mi Note 2's supposed price tag will be on is the Apple iPhone 7 Plus — its 128-GB variant is selling for $869 in the US.

Fans will not have that long to wait to confirm for themselves the price details, as well as the specs and features, of the Mi Note 2. Xiaomi has confirmed that the new flagship will be unveiled at a press launch on Oct. 25.
