Can Xiaomi finally get rid of the Apple copycat tag and finally be recognized as a mobile device manufacturer of its own? Well, its latest offering could help overcome all that.

That would all depend on how consumers would embrace its new phablet, the Xiaomi Mi Note. Launched last January 15, 2015 together with the Xiaomi Note Pro, the company offers yet another pair of devices which cost practically less than half of how much the iPhone 6 Plus costs in the market.

Officially, the Xiaomi Mi Note launched in China and will be made available to customers for an affordable price of $370. That price includes a wide array of powerful features which make it something to check out especially if you want to compare it with the iPhone 6.

Heading the list of impressive features for the Mi Note include that of a 5.7-inch 1080p display surrounded by a super thin frame which barely shows the metal edges. It draws power from a Snapdragon 801 processor that is supported by 3GB of RAM . For storage concerns, it will be available in 16GB or 64GB variants.

A key feature many will be looking at would be the cameras. The Mi Note will have a 13.0 MP Sony main (back) camera with 6 physical lens and a Philips 2-Tone LED flash and a 4.0 MP front-facing camera.

The Mi Note will bank on a 3,000 mAh battery for its power needs but in what should somehow differ it from the iPhone 6 is its dual-SIM feature. With this, eventual users who use more than one SIM card can use the phone with two different lines. The Mi Note will run on an Android OS.

The bad news is that there are no plans to offer the Xiaomi Mi Note (or even the Mi Note Pro) in the United States, at least for now. But if you are inclined to get one, you may want to check out the nearby Asian regions since they will most likely be offered there.
