Xiaomi has launched the much-rumored Redmi 4. Meanwhile, the new device is released as a full lineup with at least three iterations, including a step-up Redmi 4 Pro and a step-down version, the Redmi 4A.

Meanwhile, it is expected that there will be benchmark scores for the Redmi 4 Pro since the iteration also launched with its own Snapdragon chipset counterpart. The Qualcomm processor variant of the Redmi 4 Pro features a Snapdragon 625 chipset, 3 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of storage.

Specs and features similar in both Pro and Standard versions include a 5.0-inch display, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, Android 6.0 layered with MiUI 8, and a 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter. There is also an all-metal body with 2.5D curved glass, 4,100 mAh battery, and VoLTE support. It is also said that there is dual SIM/dual standby feature, and even infrared control support.

According to GizmoChina, the new Redmi 4 has been completely redesigned, including the on-body features like the speakers, LED flash, down to the antenna lines. Showcased on the official images, the speakers are relegated to the bottom of the handset, together with the charging port. Meanwhile, there are subtle differences between the Standard and Pro editions' back panels. The main camera above the fingerprint scanner is flanked on the left by the LED flash in the Redmi 4 Pro. However, the flash is in the right sight of the camera on the base version.

It is expected that the Redmi 4 Pro will have a price tag of 899 Yuan (around $133) for the 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage version when it rolls out on Nov. 7, and it will be available in Gold, Silver, and Grey. Meanwhile, aside from the Redmi 4 Pro, there is also the Redmi 4 base version (with the processor, display, and RAM as main differences, priced at 699 Yuan or around $105), as well as a step-down Redmi 4A that will launch at the same time.
