Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 release date news: To have global release?

While the Redmi Note 3 was released at the start of the year, it remains an exclusive for Xiaomi's China-based fans. However, the new flagship may have an international release as the Redmi Note 3 appears outside of China.

First, it was showcased at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress. In addition, recent news stated that the flagship will also be launched in India this week.

According to an announcement on the official Xiaomi forum, the Redmi Note 3 will be launched in New Delhi, India on March 3. While the post did not say if the flagship will be released outside of India after its launch, the post did hint: "We heard you. The wait is over. Mi is coming to India on March 3rd with the beast you guys desire. Yes, it is the launch for Redmi Note 3."

In addition, another indication that the new Redmi Note is being shipped internationally is a U.S. release. The IB Times mentioned that the flagship's version with a Snapdragon chipset (the one that launched last November has a MediaTek processor), called "Redmi Note 3 Pro," is now being retailed by GearBest for pre-orders for Xiaomi fans in the United States. Reportedly, the smartphone can be purchased as a pre-order with a shipping date scheduled starting March 10.

Gadgets by NDTV mentioned that aside from having two chipset versions, Xiaomi also built regular and premium variants of the product. The Redmi Note 3 comes with two RAM and storage versions – the base model has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, while the other version has a 3GB RAM paired with 32 GB of internal storage. The internal storage for these versions cannot be expanded, at least for the MediaTek chipset variant. The Snapdragon version of the Redmi Note 3, on the other hand, can be expanded up to 128GB.
