Altough Xiaomi is allegedly coming out with new flagships soon, speculations suggest that the China-based tech manufacturer is also expanding its mid-range lineup with another addition.

Leaks have started making their round online showing an upcoming Redmi Note 4. Reportedly, while the Redmi series is a mid-range lineup from Xiaomi, the next Redmi Note will offer some improvements and even some top-tier features. According to GSM Arena, one supposed confirmation for the features of the Redmi Note 4 is a teaser image out of China. The image looks to be a promo teaser for the upcoming device, and while not confirming the specs sheet for the new addition, the image did appear to showcase the Redmi Note 4's alleged dual-cam setup at the back, for its main camera assembly.

The setup also looks different from the dual-lens setup from current-gen flagships, since it looks to be both above and below each other, rather than the side-by-side setups from recent flagship releases like the Huawei P9 and the Honor 8 handsets. Moreover, it also looks like each setup is independent of each other, since the dedicated flash is in-between.

Meanwhile, although there is still no confirmed specs sheet for the next iteration, it is expected that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will come out as an improved version over its predecessor. Speculations suggest that the next Redmi Note will come out with a 5.5-inch display, 3GB of RAM, and a battery equal to or an improved version of the Redmi Note 3's 4,000-mAh pack. Since the current-gen Redmi Note has a fingerprint sensor at the back, it is also expected that Xiaomi will relocate the biometrics scanner on the front of the Redmi Note 4, maybe even integrate it to a home button.

As for its release date, the Redmi Note 3 was announced November last year, though there are rumors that the Redmi Note 4 may come out a little earlier than the 12-month cycle for Xiaomi products.
