Xiaomi has just announced that there will be a company-sponsored press event later this month. Reportedly, the July 27 launch will reveal the China-based tech manufacturer's latest lineup iteration, the Redmi Note 4.

Although Xiaomi has not confirmed details on the upcoming press launch, the reported leaks on the new Redmi Note 4 allegedly confirms that it will be one of the upcoming announcements on the said event. One of the noted leaks has even reportedly come out with confirmed specs for the new iteration.

According to Android Pure, images leaked on Chinese social media site Weibo reportedly capture technical specs for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Supposedly, the specs sheet captured in the image is right from the box of a working version. Should the list prove true, the Redmi Note 4 updates the lineup with another above-average iteration.

Based on the listed specs, the Redmi Note 4 features the latest MediaTek Helio X20 chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM. The new iteration retains a 5.5-inch screen, 64GB of internal storage, and comes with a yet-unnamed version of MiUI layered on Android. Since it is an upcoming iteration, it is expected that it will have at least MiUI 7, or even the current-gen, Android M-based MiUI 8 onboard.

Meanwhile, Phone Arena reports that instead of the fourth-gen Redmi Note, the new iteration will be launched on July 27 as the Redmi Pro. According to the industry follower, the phablet will instead have two versions, with the more premium one having a MediaTek Helio X25 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM. On the other hand, the basic model will carry MediaTek MT6797M under the hood, along with 3GB of RAM.

According to speculations, the new Redmi Note 4/Redmi Pro will be launched together with a new Xiaomi laptop iteration.
