The next flagship smartphone from Xiaomi, Redmi Note 5, is expected to launch anytime soon in the handset maker's homeland, China. The rumored imminent release of the mid-tier device is supported by a recent listing on a retailer website, suggesting that Xiaomi will be shipping the Redmi Note 5 to the markets in a few days. The listing also revealed that the smartphone will boast a widescreen view with 18:9 aspect ratio.

As reported by Business Insider, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was spotted on the Chinese retailer website JD.com. As of now, the list does not show specific details about the smartphone's design and features, although it was revealed that the Redmi Note 5 will have an 18:9 screen ratio. This is consistent with the previous leaks about the device, like the one from China's official certification department, TENAA.

The taller appearance of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and slimmer 18:9 aspect ratio is made possible by the reduced bezels, which are now almost non-existent. Xiaomi's Redmi series is known to boast affordable devices with top-end specs, which means that the upcoming Redmi Note 5 could be the first all-screen smartphone to be sold at a lower price.

However, contrary to the leaked TENAA filing, the Chinese retailer website shows Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 having a single-lens camera. It was believed that the Redmi Note 5 will sport a dual camera module, although it is also likely that the base model will feature a single-lens setup instead.

It is highly speculated that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 636 processor. The chipset will be perfect for the smartphone, which allows mid-range devices like the Redmi Note to flash full-scale display with FHD+ resolution.

Upon the recent shipping of the Snapdragon 636 chipsets, it is expected that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be ready by the end of 2017 or early 2018. There is high expectation on the upcoming smartphone, given that the Redmi Note 4 was well-received by the users when it was launched in January. There are no confirmed reports regarding the Redmi Note 5's arrival in other markets around the globe, including the U.S.
