'Yakuza 6' showcases baseball, cat cafes and working out at the gym in latest trailer

"Yakuza 6" lets players truly appreciate the term "dad bod."SEGA Games

The English version of "Yakuza 6" is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 in just a few months and to tide over the fans who are anticipating the last entry in the critically acclaimed series, Sega has released a new trailer that focuses on the various activities Kiryu can do in his free time when he's not curb stomping punks along Kamurocho's dark alleys.

As any fan of the series would expect, some of these are just downright absurd.

On the more normal side of things, Kiryu can play darts at the local bar, bust out his inner idol at karaoke, and get a few swings in at the batting cages. All fairly standard things that are staples of the series.

Just like previous "Yakuza" games, players will also be able to go to Club Sega and enjoy some other games from them. From classic titles like "Super Hang-On" and "Space Harrier" to more modern entries such as "Virtua Fighter 5" and "Puyo," there's a surprisingly decent library of Sega-developed games that Kiryu can enjoy.

However, from there, the activities take a turn for the weird, although fans would argue that these oddities are what really make the "Yakuza" franchise so unique. Kriyu can take some time off to achieve the pinnacle of male physique by going to the gym or he could hone his strategic thinking by managing an amateur baseball team, as shown in the trailer.

Now, despite his fearsome reputation as the Dragon of Dojima, Kiryu has a softer side as well and sometimes he will spend his time feeding alley cats and visiting the cat café, just to relax and enjoy their company.

There is definitely a lot of things to do in "Yakuza 6" besides beating people up and progressing through the story and this trailer is just the tip of the iceberg on how bizarre the game can really get. Players can check out the new trailer here to find out for themselves just how odd the series can get when the game comes out for PlayStation 4 on March 20.
