'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links' Toon World Event news: Players get second chance to defeat Pegasus
The "Welcome to Toon World" event has been launched yet again, giving players a second chance to unlock Pegasus as a character. It will also give them the chance to win most of Pegasus' Toon cards.
Players will need to collect 35,000 points in order to unlock Pegasus. Players can also win gold, gems, and stones while playing throughout the course of the event.
Unlike in the previous event, in which players can only go against Pegasus up until level 20, he can now be played against at level 50, where he will be using a new deck.
According to iDigitalTimes, matching up against Pegasus at level 50 will mean getting the chance to earn a x20 multiplier. However, winning this will not be easy, as he will have the power to summon Relinquished, a highly powerful Ritual monster. He will also have the power to summon other powerful creatures.
Beating him will mean needing to meet him on equal ground. This means that players will need to bring four-star monsters to the duel. They will also need to use a variety of spells and traps that will either power up their creatures or weaken their opponents. The trick is to try to defeat him before he gains enough power to summon Relinquished.
Dueling Pegasus at levels 10 and 20 will allow players to net Mind Haxorz, Spell Reproduction, Dark-Eyes Illusionist, House of Adhesive Tape, and Toon Alligator. Meanwhile, defeating him at level 20 will result in the player receiving the Card of Sanctity, Toon Masked Sorcerer, Gorgon's Eye, Toon World, and Toon Mermaid.
The return of the "Welcome to Toon World" event also brought in new monsters, such as Buster Blader and Dark Magician Girl.
The "Welcome to Toon World" event was originally supposed to start on Jan. 25. However, it was suspended because the servers failed to support the large influx of users logging in to the site for the event. The first run of "Welcome to Toon World" launched on Feb. 1, but it only ran until Feb. 8.
