Zayn Malik has released his first solo single, "Pillowtalk," last week and the song is a certified hit as it went right to the number 1 spot on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart dated Feb. 13 following its Jan. 29 debut. The music video, featuring model Gigi Hadid, was released on the same day and the video has been viewed more than 40 million times on YouTube.

In the video, Malik and the Victoria's Secret model are seen being affectionate with each other and kissing at different points in the clip. The two, who have been seen together numerous times since November, had not talked about their relationship to the press, but in a brand new interview, the 23-year-old singer finally confirmed that Hadid is his girlfriend.

Earlier this week, Malik was on a phone interview on "Zach Sang & The Gang," and a fan called in and asked him about working in the video with Hadid.

"Was it cool to have your girlfriend in the video?" the fan asked.

"Yeah, that was cool," the singer replied. "It was something. We enjoyed it. It was fun. A lot of fun on the set."

One of the radio show's co-hosts piped in, "No one easier to make out with than your own girlfriend, right?"

"Exactly," said Malik.

The two started dating in November after Hadid broke up with Joe Jonas. Before dating the model, Malik was engaged to Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards for two years before they broke up last summer.

A source told E! Online that Malik and Hadid are getting "more serious."

"Their relationship is very different than when she was with Jonas," said the insider. "Her friends think this is going to last!"

Earlier this month, it was rumored that the two might be planning to live together after they were spotted looking at houses in New York City. The couple was last seen together while on a date night on Tuesday in West Hollywood.
