Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have been dating for a short while. However, Malik's ex-girlfriend, Perrie Edwards, is ready to start talking about her relationship with Malik, and Gigi Hadid is not going to let it happen.

According to a report from MTV, Edwards has been giving fans hints about how her relationship went with Malik through some of her music. One given example is how she talked about Malik in the song "Shout Out To My Ex." She also confirmed in her band's autobiography, "My World," that Malik had broken up with her via text message.

The report points out that Hadid is not happy about all this. An unidentified insider told Reveal magazine that Gigi is asking for a chance to talk to Edwards and set things straight.

"Gigi's asked Zayn to get in touch with Perrie and set up a meeting, just between the two girls, so she can make it clear that she wants her to stop talking about Zayn," the insider stated. "She feels she's never going to truly get Perrie out of her and Zayn's life until she meets her face-to-face and sorts things out. She's really keen to assure Perrie that she wasn't with Zayn when he was still in the relationship with her."

According to the report, Malik is not open to this idea and is trying to stop Hadid from talking to Edwards. However, Hadid reportedly believes that meeting and talking to Edwards is the best means and the most adult means of resolving the issue, instead of having all three people fighting each other.

With regards to Edwards, she allegedly stated she couldn't promise that she wouldn't write lyrics about Malik in the future, but she was open to listening to whatever Hadid had to tell her regarding the issue.
