Zayn Malik released his much-anticipated first single as a solo artist on Thursday night. The track called "Pillowtalk" made its debut less than 24 hours after the former One Direction member revealed the title of his upcoming album, "Mind of Mine" in an interview with Beats 1 (via E! Online).

The music video for the single was also released on Thursday, and fans were happy to find out that the video features Malik's rumored girlfriend, Gigi Hadid. In the video, the two get cozy as they kiss and hold each other several times.

The two were rumored to be dating last November, shortly after the model split with Joe Jonas. While they have not discussed their relationship, the pair has been seen together attending parties or just walking around in New York City.
Last month, the 23-year-old appeared to confirm that they were dating when he posted a picture of him and the 20-year-old with their faces close together and her hand on his face.

When Beats 1 host Zane Lowe mentioned that the singer is in a relationship, Malik played coy and said, "Yeah, we're good friends."

On his upcoming album, Malik said that "Mind of Mine" will likely contain 17 or 18 songs. While the singer has yet to release the complete track list, he mentioned the titles of three songs, namely "Befour," "Wrong," and "She."

"Pillowtalk" is Malik's first single as an artist of RCA. The singer left One Direction and the group's management, SyCo, back in March 2015. Since then, the singer has been upfront about his decision to leave the band, saying in various interviews that he left because he wanted to make music that was more to his style.

Recently, Malik told Rolling Stone that he never really wanted to be in the band in the first place.

"I just gave it a go because it was there at the time," he said.
