Chinese telecom equipment and device vendor ZTE Corporation has just unveiled its new Axon Watch product, which is expected to be released exclusively to the China market.

What specifications and features may be expected from ZTE's new Axon Watch device?

International Business Times reports that the Axon Watch will come with a 1.4-inch display screen with a 400 x 400 pixel resolution, and is certified with an IP67 rating, which means that it is dust-proof and water-resistant.  According to GSM Arena, the device will sport a sapphire glass coating and a round design.

The Axon Watch will run on the new Tencent (OS) operating system that was unveiled back in April of this year. The Tencent OS was developed by Chinese company Tencent as an operating system for smart devices such as smartwatches and smart TVs, among others.

Under the hood, the new smartwatch packs within itself a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, a 512 MB RAM, and up to 4GB internal memory space. Other features include an accelerometer, a barometer, and a heart rate sensor technology. It is powered by a 300 mAh battery and also supports Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity and global positioning system (GPS).

Since the new Axon Watch runs on Tencent OS, Techno Buffalo reports that the smartwatch will definitely remain available only in the China market as of this time, while the other two new Axon smartphones might arrive be available in other markets.

Also, GSM Arena reports that the original ZTE Axon smartphone is now anticipated to be available in China as well, after it was recently released in North America this month. The ZTE Axon costs about US$450.

Aside from the ZTE Axon Watch, ZTE has also recently unveiled a new high-end smartphone, called the Axon Lux, which is expected to be available only in China as well, according to a report by GSM Arena. One of the interesting features of the Avon Lux is its whopping 28GB expandable memory and biometric security features.
