ZTE Star 3 release date, specs news: Device features 3D capturing?

When you talk about China-made smartphones out in the market, ZTE will certainly not be among them. Apparently the ZTE brand has not been aggressive if you compare it to the likes of Xiaomi though it has had its share of a handful of devices out in the market.

The last device it released in the market is the Nubia Z9, something that comes in three variants. Then it was followed by the ZTE Q519T just recently which has a battery that is reportedly good for up to 35 days when left on standby.

Moving forward though, ZTE may have anted up the stakes with a rendered leak believed to be the ZTE Star 3. Aside from the slender body and display that will reportedly be 5.5-inches, the highly noticeable feature that the phone carries (based on the rendered image) are two same-sized camera lenses which could perhaps hint at possible 3D-capably image capturing abilities.

That of course is left unconfirmed since it the lenses could be part of something else, like perhaps image enhancing capabilities or focusing effects.

Aside from those features, the device will have the power and circular volume buttons at the right side while the SIM slot is located at the left side.

A microUSB port can be found at the bottom part of the device, something you will find beside the speakers of the supposed ZTE Star 3.

Now it remains to be seen if the mystery handset will succeed the previously released ZTE Star 2. The ZTE Star 2 was released last December, 2014 so it will be interesting to see if this device will be its eventual successor.

There is no official word yet on the validity of the images or word about the ZTE Star 2 successor for now. However, if this is indeed the ZTE Star 3, the belief is that it will most likely be released by year's end, December, the same time the ZTE Star 2 came out in the market.
