MAIN DUTIES: Olivet Assembly is seeking a Youth Minister to join its growing pastoral team. The role will include leading multiple youth services in Mandarin held throughout the week, including weekend and mid-week services. The role will require the Youth Minister to assist with preaching in our regular youth services, as well as delivering Bible Studies for weekly youth prayer meetings, and assist in the provision of our Youth Bible Study courses as required throughout the year. The Youth Minister will also join our ministerial leadership team, which organises Christian retreats at Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, and Summer, each of which have a specific youth group focus for our youth and young adult congregants.

The role will require the Youth Minister to provide spiritual guidance and theological counselling for our growing Mandarin speaking youth congregants. As well as having a role in assisting in the organising of a wide-range of social youth activities and youth outreach ministries, and locally-based projects that will serve and help the local community.

LOCATION: Pilgrim Hall, Uckfield, East Sussex
SALARY: £28,000 per annum; accommodation and all meals provided free of charge.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE: The successful applicant must have a minimum of three years experience working in an Evangelical Church denomination in a role relevant to youth ministering, Bible teaching, and general Christian youth activities. A Bachelors degree is required. The applicant should be able to demonstrate proficiency in Mandarin and English. It is desirable that the successful applicant be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of assisting in the organising of full church services, mid-week services, desirably in the World Olivet Assembly (WOA) denomination service format, or any other Evangelical Church denomination service format. Experience in being part of a team to provide spiritual counselling and guidance would be beneficial, as would be experience in leading youth group Bible Studies, and assisting to organise youth cell group formats for social activities and local Christian outreach and community serving events.
