MAIN DUTIES: This role will involve overseeing the development and coordination of an active Women’s Ministry to build a community of godly women among a Chinese Mandarin-language congregation. Mentoring and holding discipleship workshops with the Mandarin-speaking women in the church, and helping them to grow spiritually will be core activities each week. Preaching services in Mandarin, and providing Bible Studies, theological counselling, organising and overseeing special events and activities for women will also be key responsibilities. The permanent role will also involve holding women’s prayer meetings, as well as women’s social activities and outreach efforts, as well as locally-based projects that will serve and help the local community. Coordinating the Women’s Ministry to complement the works of the wider church, its Senior Pastors and other members of the church leadership team will be important.

LOCATION: Pilgrim Hall, Uckfield, East Sussex
SALARY: £28,000 per annum; accommodation and all meals provided free of charge.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE: Must have Masters of Divinity (M.Div) degree, or equivalent. Must be an ordained Christian minister from an Evangelical church denomination background with a minimum of 5 years experience leading a Women’s Ministry within an Evangelical Church to a Mandarin-speaking congregation. As a Women’s Ministry Pastor, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of organising and leading special events and social activities for Christian women, as well as offering one-to-one and group spiritual counselling and guidance to female members of the congregation. It is preferable for the applicant to have experience of leading services, and prayer meetings in the World Olivet Assembly (WOA) denomination service formats. Experience is desired in leading group activities centered on developing the Christian faith for women, and organising church cell group formats for social and spiritual activities.
