When asked if Katherine Langford, who portrays Hannah Baker, will reprise her role in the second season of "13 Reasons Why," the showrunner revealed that she will. Hannah's story has not come to an end.

He told Entertainment Weekly, "I think one of the things that is still hanging out there is this question of is someone responsible for Hannah's death? Is the school responsible? Who is responsible, if anyone is?"

According to Yorkey, the second installment will feature the trial. While the teenagers are reflecting on all that has happened, new secrets will be unveiled. Yorkey shared that season 2 will delve into new perspectives on events that viewers know so far. The upcoming installment will also explore Hannah's character further. It will give viewers a better understanding of what her life was.

Perhaps what most fans want to know is if Bryce (Justin Prentice) will pay for all the pain he has caused Hannah and Jessica (Alisha Boe). To note, Bryce has yet to be brought to justice for raping both girls. Jessica, who only found out about the truth in the final episodes of the show, is on the road to recovery. The showrunner admitted he wants to show Jessica recovering from her ordeal, and Bryce finally getting the punch in the face he deserves.

The second season will pick up a few months after the pilot season left off. It will still be told with a voice-over, but it will no longer be by Hannah. All the tapes have been played, but another piece of technology from the past will be making its way to the series.

"13 Reasons Why" season 2 is slated to premiere in 2018 on Netflix.
